I'm just starting out with photography and having a frustrating time with my settings. I wanted to know if there is a standard setting on an SLR that will give me pretty good results in a hurry. Why can it work for a point and shoot but not a SLR... isn't it supposed to be a better camera?

A monopod can cut down on camera movement. I use one sometimes with larger lenses Go for a lightweight but well made one if you can afford it go carbon fiber. Many of the same manufacturers that make good tripods make them.

I have pictures that i viewed that were sent to me via email, but other images are added to the slide show feature automatically? How? Why? Can i stop this or do i have to delete the email?
