Sweet design, the characters have "spunk". Overall, though, it really has that whole flash aesthetic that, in my mind, is sort of played out now. This is not to say that I don't like it. I just think it could have been illustrated differently while holding onto the overall tone and purpose.

I'm thinking of a fairly known composer from Renaissance or early Baroque, who had this tendency to use wild and exciting new tricks. I seem to remember some of these elements wouldn't return until the Romantic period. I remember that in my younger years it was debated whether he was aware how deviant his style elements were.
